Museom Single-Log Bridge Festival

Featuring amazing natural beauty with a historical ambiance, the traditional cultural village Museom in Sudo-ri, Munsu-myeon presents the Single-Log Bridge Walk Experience Event. The single-log bridge featured in this event was designated as one of the 100 beautiful roads of South Korea by the Ministry of Land, Transport, and Marine Affairs. This event aims to revive and promote the increasingly-being-forgotten traditional Korean culture.

    • The event features a Ssirem (Korean wrestling) contest; a farmers' dance and music presentation; an ancient town governor's parade; a guest treatment program; experience programs involving crossing the bridge while carrying a plow on the shoulder and while driving an ox, crossing the bridge while carrying grass fodder and a jar, crossing the bridge while carrying beef ribs, riding a horse for a wedding ceremony, a traditional wedding ceremony, a funeral parade (carrying a bier), and all participants crossing a bridge.
